Core Competencies: Overview *

At Dell Boomi, we want all of our users to develop core competencies in AtomSphere, which we
believe lead to sustained success. Our certified Associate Developers are able to:

• Navigate the AtomSphere UI

• Work with Boomi Documents
• Configure AtomSphere Connectors (Connection and Operation components)
• Design simple integration processes to implement logic and process data
• Enable basic administration features for logging and reporting
• Deploy integration processes to environments 

• Debug and troubleshoot simple integration processes *(Details on page 2)

To enable developers to acquire these core competencies, Boomi offers an Associate

Developer Certification Path. This includes our Associate Developer Course Sequence and
Certification Exam.

Course Sequence

• Boomi Essentials. Foundational training in our Shapes, UI and information critical to

understanding the power of the Dell Boomi Platform. Available only online as On-
Demand training. Visit the Boomi website (https://boomi.com/services/training/) and
sign up via the Free Training Banner.
• Developer 1. Training in SaaS integration, the development life cycle, document flow,
document/process properties, and basic administration tools. 


Certification Exam

To assess your understanding of the core competencies, we offer an Associate Developer

Certification Exam comprised of the following sections 


• Practice Section
• General Knowledge Section (40 questions)
• Practical Section: Integration Troubleshooting (20 questions)

Elective Courses

To offer a breadth of experience with Boomi’s unified platform, certified Associate Developers
receive complimentary enrollment in one other course. Choose from EDI, MDM, and Flow.
