MODULE 2
I. INTRODUCTION
This part presents the overview of the course that covers the basic
management functions and principles including the models of organizational
behavior. Students will be introduced to the basic theories and studies
related to human behavior as well as models of organizational behavior as
applied to educational institutions. Having inputs through the synchronous
sessions, skills in undergoing experiential exercises will be developed giving
students’ opportunity to understand themselves better starting from this part
of the course.
After completing this overview of the course, the students shall have:
1. generated knowledge on management functions and principles as applied
to human behavior;
2. explored the models of organizational behavior as applied to educational
institutions.
What leaders cannot do without pertains to the notion that leadership has a
spiritual dimension when it is transformational in nature for the leader and
the follower. It is emphasized that transformation must begin with the leader.
The five Ps of leadership i.e., purpose, pride, practice, persistence and
perspective are derived the article of Fr. John C. Haughey, S.J. , A Leader’s
Conscience.
Required Readings:
Answer the 70 items by following the instruction of the scale. Post your
answers to the scoring sheet according to the sequence of the 70 items.
Then do the operation of the indicated plus or minus sign to get the score
for each competency. Follow the adjustment of the scores based on the
result of the correction factor at the bottom of the scoring sheet. If the
score of the correction factor is 19 or less, you do not need to make an
adjustment to your scores. Then draw a graph of your competency
scores using the provided profile sheet. The profile graph may be dawn
as line or bar format.

you are high in this competency?
b. What competency is the lowest? Do you agree or not agree or confirm
on this lowest score of your competency? Justify.
c. What competency/ies you achieve having 18 and above scores? Do
these competencies exactly describe you?
d. What competency/ies with 17 or less scores? Why do you think this is
so?
