Tourism law is very important it provide a regulatory framework for the proper development and
management of tourism activities. It deals with the regulation, authority, relations and obedience
among members of a society involved in tourist travel and accommodation.
Tourism law can be applied in the Philippines in the following examples:
Republic Act 7042, as amended by R.A. 8179 (March 25, 1996) also known as the Foreign
Investments Act of 1991, provides for the policy that foreigners can now invest in all activities
and enterprises in the Philippines
Executive Order No. 26, entitled providing for the Establishment of Smoke-Free Environments
in Public and Enclosed Places, was issued by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on May 16,
2017. This ordinance will help to protect the environment as well as the people. They have also a
designated place where tourist can smoke in a proper place.

Definition:
A law that is unrestricted as to time, is applicable throughout the entire territory subject to the
power of the legislature that enacted it, and applies to all persons in the same class.

PUBLIC LAW
Definition:
A legislative enactment affecting the public at large. Public law refers to the part of the
law that governs the relationship between individuals and the government, not private
companies, and is about the exercise of power and rights by public authorities, including local
authorities or government departments such as the home office
Examples:
Constitutional Law- it lays out the foundations of the state
Administrative Law- refers to the body of law that regulates bureaucratic managerial procedures
and defines the powers of administrative agencies
Tax Law- it is now considered an area of public law, as it concerns a relationship between
persons and the State.
Criminal Law- is the body of law that relates to crime. It proscribes conduct perceived as
threatening, harmful, or otherwise endangering to the property, health, safety, and moral
welfare of people inclusive of one's self
