Son frases que se usan para expresar la cantidad de objetos o personas que había en un
determinado lugar.
Así tenemos:
There is (singular, presente) — there was (singular, pasado)
There are (plural, presente) — there were (plural, pasado)
Veamos lo mismo con ejemplos.

To make the negative sentence, add "not" to "was" or "were"
