10 Emerging Technologies
There is no doubt that technology has changed the world around us. From the past 10 years,
modern technology has massively progressed and it has made our day to day life easier. If we
talk about the year 2050, it looks like a lot of years but in this 30 years technology will change
the whole world map.
1. Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is everywhere, it’s in our cars and home via devices like alexa or
siri. (which are forms of AI). These are technologies that simulate human intelligence but
they don’t have empathy or a conversation or make decisions like humans would. They
are programs and robots.
2. Internet of things
It’s a concept of connecting any device to the internet and to other devices. All the
devices interact with each other to collect and share data. For example it can be our
phone, laptops, watches, refrigerators, our washing machines. Now if we think why do
we need iot? It basically helps our lives be easier and more comfortable. For example, a
smart house, it has many features that we can talk about. One of the features is automatic
lights, where the lights automatically can detect a person's presence in the room and get
switched on and they can also be voice activated.
4. Space tourism
According to the predictions that were made, people will be able to go on
space trips but obviously only the wealthy people would be able to afford it and when it’s
gonna happen it will become the new trend.
5. Drones
Drones are already here, but most of the people who uses drones they just use it for fun
Or it is also used by the military for strikes and surveillance. Either it's used by the
military for strikes and surveillance or some people just use it for fun.
It's all fun right now but in the future drones could become a very essential part of our
daily lives like it could be the new delivery services. From pizza delivery to amazon
packages and i think it’s more likely to happen.
6. 3D printing
This is so wide in its scope of impact, it is quite incredible. Large scale print on demand
will eventually become so good that it will supersede most other forms of manufacturing
which will lead to all fulfillment, more geographically aligned with the end destination
usually the consumer, it will be quicker for transporting from a center global center and it
will not incur the shipping cost.
7. Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality is the use of computer technology in which a person can interact within an
artificial environment using electronic devices. Basically it’s a special headset gadget
with a screen fitted with sensors which is required for virtual reality. Virtual reality has
expanded from the gaming world to all areas of everyday life, be it our
healthcare department, business, law enforcement or education. It has become a tool
where you can use in your training exercises or to treat patients with social anxieties and
phobias or be it surgeons who are using this technology to practice technical surgeries
before operating or businesses are using this technology to give a virtual tour to their
customers and it’s undoubtedly the coolest thing to exist.
8. Biometrics
Biometrics can scan your eyes and they simply analyze the iris. They can have an
impression of your fingerprints or thumbprint and match these in database, facial
recognition so that they can analyze parts of your face for example points to your face
will never change unless you have got involved in a very unfortunate accident or
disfiguring illness.
9. Robots
So robots are being designed to perform the tasks that humans would usually perform and
in industry, they are automated to perform the tasks humans were once paid to do like
manufacturing robots, carrier robots and domestic robots, and exploration robots. So
rather than sending humans up into space (which is obviously dangerous and very lonely)
they are actually designed and they are put up in space for example they can explore
mars. But there are also some robots that can defuse bombs. So instead of sending
humans to defuse bombs, we can send robots and that way we can save human lives.
