Hi! My name is Lisa. I live in a village in the central part of England. It is a quiet
place with fresh air and beauty of the nature. Usually I get up early in the
morning to help my mum feeding the cattle. Then I go to school. We can get on
foot to any place in our village, so I don’t need money on
transport. After lessons I do my homework and work in our
garden. Then I like swimming in the river or riding my bicycle
along the endless fields. I come back home rather late because
it’s safe here. You may think it’s boring to live in a village: there
are no cinemas, museums, cafes, sights, etc. But I can go to the
nearest city if I want to amuse myself!
Hello! I’m Bob and I live in one of big cities in the USA. Going to school I can
see crowds of busy people who are always in a hurry, many cars, especially in
rush hours. All that makes the noise, dirt and pollution. My
parents work in one of the offices in the centre of our city.
There are a lot of well-paid jobs here, but a city life is expensive
too! At weekends my parents and I, we visit museums, cinemas,
eat in fashion restaurants, go to my mother’s favourite theatre
or simply relax in the park. I don’t walk alone because there
are many criminals in big cities. But if you like the
excitement of the city, come on a visit, and we enjoy our time together!
