and Z as it is.)

STEP NO 3: Click on right key of mouse and go to Edit Grid data,


Modify/show system and set data accordingly(A=0,B=10,C=14,D=21).

STEP NO 4: Now define material set Compressive strength of concrete


3000 psi as shown below.

And set Rebar Grade 60.

STEP NO 6: Now define load pattern and take self-weight of the beam
too.

STEP NO 7: Define load combination in case of service load keep the scale
factor 1.and in case of FACTORED LOAD take factor 1.2 for DEAD load and 1.6
foe LIVE LOAD.

local axis as shown below

STEP NO 10: Now Again From ‘’Assign Menu’’, Click on Joint then
Restraints and Assign the Supports as shown.

STEP NO 11: After that, from ‘’Assign Menu’’, click on “Joint Load’’
then click on “Forces’’. Assign Force of 60k on 60degree as shown.

STEP NO 12: After that, from ‘’Assign Menu’’, click on ‘’Frame


Load’’ then click on “Point”. Assign Dead Load of 7k at Point “D” as
shown

STEP NO 13: From ‘’Analyze Menu, click on ‘’Run Analyze’’ and


click on ‘’Run Now’’ and save the file and deflected shape of Beam is
shown below.

STEP NO 14: From ‘’Display Menu’’ Click On Show Forces/Stresses, the


Menu will be Open, click on ‘’Moment 3-3’’ so that the moment diagram will be
displayed as shown below. The Maximum Moment is 52.88kip.in.

STEP NO 15: By Performing the same action, click on ‘’Shear 2-2’’ so that
shear diagram of the beam will be displayed as shown below. The Maximum Shear
is 23.92k
