1.1. Overview

1.1.1. Background

This is Property Management Based Project. Named OurProperty.com. In our

project we are trying to maintain three actors which are Registered users,
Unregistered users and admin.

1.1.2. Objectives

Property Management(PM) will be a web based system. It is very strong and easy
to use that makes quick booking and account handling process. The real estate
Property management system is a web-based software and you can access it from
anywhere.

1. Registered users

2. Unregistered users

3. Admin

The list of operations that the system will provide are-

1. Unregistered people can just see all the rent and buy post.

2. Registered people can create a post for rent or by their home or flat. Also
they see all the rent and buy posts.

3. An Admin has access to everything.

4. Unregistered User can Buy rent.

5. For login User must be registered.

6. Registered User can Create post.

7. Registered User can Update post.

3
1.1.3. Scope

PM product is basically a web based which will allow the tenant to choose
their best rent. This project is developed as a course project of “SWE332:
Software Engineering Project-II(Web Programming)”.Homeowners can get
their best renter to rent their house/home. From this web project or system
Renter and Homeowner both are get all opportunities.

1.1.4. Assumptions and Constraints

It is assumed that the user is comfortable with computer. The users should know
how to use a web site. The users who are registered must have good knowledge on
web surfing.
The user interface is in English as a result people lacking in English skill will face
difficulty in using the system. Login and password is used for identification of user
and there is no facility for guest.

1.1.5. Dependencies and Risks

The user must have web access in order to use the system. The main risk behind
implementing the project is security. If somebody hacks the system then it will be a
total disorder. So during development it will be one of our major concerns.
Another concern is having common bugs such as the common users are having the
same functionalities as the Registered users or system admin.

The time frame for implementing the project is given in Figure 1.2.1.

1.3. Summary

Time is our most valuable asset. We cannot waste it when there is scope of
utilizing it in a better way. Our proposed system named PM will be developed to
meet this purpose. It will save the time of the mass people wasted during the time
of searching apartments or others in physically. As a result s/he can take decisions
more wisely.
