Aphrodite
She was the most beautiful goddess and she represents the love, beauty, pleasure,
and procreation.
Love, so strong that is the feeling that it makes the world go round. Beauty, beauty feeds the soul
and because no life is without suffering the experience of beauty provides a contrast to the
experience of pain. All the nights of love and pleasures are mine. I am the great Olympian
Goddess of love and beauty, in sexual desire, eroticism and female power. Born between the
union of heaven and earth forth a Goddess with such beauty and charm. I am Aphrodite,
embodied with the brightest star in heaven, the morning and the evening star and called by the
Roman name of Venus. It was cronos who castrated my father and threw in into the sea, and
from the sea foam there I rose and floated in on a scallop shell.
I’m capricious and tricksome, perhaps like sexual love itself, a thing not exactly trustworthy! I
was the cause of the Trojan war when I promised Paris the love of the most beautiful woman as
he chose me as the farest goddess. But Helen, was unfortunately married, and as I delivered my
promise. BOOM! It doomed Troy!
But what matters to me was, I was chosen as the farest goddess. And because of this beauty I
possess all the gods then feared that if they were married to me, it would interrupt their peace.
But Zuez married me to Hephaestus, the gods of craftsmen and the uglies god! I was never
satisfied on our marriage! Thus, I look for another companionship. There, I found Aries, the god
of war his face’s so perfect, his body’s so perfect that I couldn’t resist! Hmm
And there were a time when Aries and I were all naked and we were on our private embrace,
you know what I mean. When Hephaestus came and caught us on netted trap and all the gods
and goddess came and laughed at us.
It wa a moment that I will never forget! I was embarrassed and I found out fault! My affair with
Aries has resulted into 3 children, and I bore many children from different fathers while
Hephaestus and I never had any children of our own. But our love, it was one of the beauty and
craft, where art was born.
The fading of flowers, the pulling of tide, will make one to realize that the goddess of love and
beauty has disappeared from the earth. But like a gold, I am everlasting and eternal. And each
spring I return to renew my vitality- sprint and flowers soon to begin bloom.
