Using a cell phone while driving increases the risk of an accident by 4% and takes the driver's eyes off the road. Most drivers admit to using their phones but it endangers both the driver and passengers. While some argue it is necessary to answer calls or texts in emergencies, any distraction increases accident risks and texting while driving is illegal in some places. In conclusion, using mobile phones while driving should be illegal worldwide to improve road safety.

phones while driving?


Texting and driving is one of the most dangerous forms of distraction while
driving. In the United States, out of 4 car accidents, 1 of those is caused by the use of
mobile phones while driving. According to Live Science Staff (2019) Should cell phones
be banned while driving? , texting and driving puts the driver up to 4% higher the risk to
get into an accident than driving alone, without the use of cell phones. Using of cell
phones while driving is very dangerous, it distracts the driver which may lead to him
taking his eyes off the road, texting and driving puts not only the driver but also the
passengers at a higher risk to get in an accident.

Most drivers have admitted that they use their mobile phones while driving but it
is a very dangerous act, it puts the driver and the passenger at risk, most teenager
drivers have said that they do use their phones while driving even though they know
that it is dangerous. But, according to the opposing side, drivers feel more obligated to
answer their texts messages while driving. Drivers get distracted when they are driving
which may cause for them to take their eyes off the road and their hands off the steering
wheel, even if it’s an emergency adrenaline will rush through them which may cause for
them to speed off limit and may also lead to a greater accident. But the opposing
argument states that there are texting and driving laws that are being supported and
followed by teen drivers. Texting and Driving is banned in some countries including
Texas, but then again what if it’s an emergency? Emergency or not it is a law that
should be followed and drivers should always be careful whilst driving.

In conclusion texting and driving is dangerous and risky, it distracts drivers and it
is also an illegal act in different countries and states, drivers should always be careful
and mindful when they are driving. Thus, the use of mobile phones should be illegal in
all over the world, there should be a law against it and drivers should avoid doing it.
