LIST OF TARGETTED LEARNER INTERVENTIONS

LEARNER GROUP TARGETTED INTERVENTION


Learners without parents or household * Implement peer tutoring through a neighbor
members who can guide and support their classmate or schoolmate with permission of the
learning at home. barangay officials or community situations allow.
* Get assistance from barangay officials to assign a
learning facilitator within the barangay who could
be a neighbor or community volunteer.
* Keep communication open, if the learner has a
cellphone, the teacher will monitor through calling
or texting and if cellphone is not available, call or
text a neighbor s the learner’s contact person.
* Do frequent home visits with the barangay
officials’ clearance and if the community health
situation allows.
Struggling readers * Provide special modules/learning activity sheets
for this type of learners.
* Implement peer tutoring through a neighbor
classmate or schoolmate with permission of the
barangay officials or community situations allow.
* Get assistance from barangay officials to assign a
learning facilitator within the barangay who could
be a neighbor or community volunteer.
* Keep communication open, if the learner has a
cellphone, the teacher will monitor through calling

text a neighbor s the learner’s contact person.

No access to devices or internet * Design modules/learning activity sheets with


options for learners who have no devices or
internet. (alternative activities)
* Ask assistance from LGU (municipal/barangay) or
SK fund if they can provide at least one internet
connection in the barangay halls for learners’ use.
* Implement peer tutoring through a neighbor
classmate or schoolmate with permission of the
barangay officials or community situations allow.
* Get assistance from barangay officials to assign a
learning facilitator within the barangay who could
be a neighbor or community volunteer.
Inaccessible (living in remote and/or unsafe * Designate learning materials’ pick-up
areas) centers/stations to areas accessible to the learners.

distribution and retrieval of materials and a
possible learning facilitator/volunteer in these
areas.

Learners who are working * Suggest schedule of activities best suited for this
type of learners.
* Give specially made modules/learning activity
sheets suitable to this type of learners.
* Give special time extension for learners to
accomplish activities/modules.
* Keep communication open to be able to address
concerns promptly.
* Communicate employers for learners’ situation.
