The document contains comments on a structural analysis and design report along with the contractor's responses. Some key points include: 1. Equipment load data and drawings were not included in the original submission and need to be provided for review. 2. Structural drawings and connection details must be included. 3. Additional load cases and combinations are required to account for equipment empty and operating conditions. 4. Several design parameters needed updating to reflect the correct terrain category, wind loads, and structural geometry. 5. The contractor has updated the report and calculations to address most of the comments and requests further flexibility on member utilization ratios given load factors used.

COMMENTS RESOLUTION SHEET

Attached the Equipment GA Dwg & Equipment load data applied in STAAD file.
In the absence of the Eqp. load data at its supporting point / level, applied loads in STAAD file can't be reviewed.

Attach the Structural GA & detail dwg in the calculation report along with connection design & details.

Basic STAAD load cases shall be added for the Equipment Empty & Operating condition.
Accordingly Load combinations shall be updated.
In Dead load case, only Permanent action loads arising due to structure self weight, fireproofing, Floor material,
Handrail, Ladder etc. only needs to be applied. Equipment load as applied in furnished STAAD file shall be applied as
mentioned in above point no-3.
Structure shall be checked for Geometric imperfection horizontal load (EHF).
Accordingly load case and combinations shall be added.
Add list of all the relevant Codes, referred during designing the structure.
Attach STAAD output report with the calculation report

Member utilization ratio shall be restricted up to 0.80

Add Grid lines as per the GA dwg in all the Views.

(typ comment)
Add TOS Elevation at all Plan & Elevation Views.
At highlighted locations, intersection between Vertical Bracing & Tie beam shall be rechecked. Vertical Bracing Location
& its connection with Column & Beams shall be addressed in the structural Dwg.
At highlighted locations check the connection feasibility, as UB section is supported by vertical Angle member.
Design Parameter shall be added as per cantilever member philosophy
At highlighted locations check the connection feasibility, as UB section is supported by vertical Angle member.
DJ parameter to be corrected for the highlighted Framing beams along Grid-A,B & C
DJ parameter to be corrected for the highlighted Framing beams along Grid-A,B & C
DJ parameter to be corrected for the highlighted Framing beams along Grid-A,B & C
At highlighted locations, Boundary conditions for Bracing are not consistent with respect to other locations.
At highlighted locations, pl check & confirm the Member End release type.
LY parameter to be corrected.
Vertical Bracings are part of Lateral load resisting system.
As a good Engineering practice, advantage / restrain of the same for Gravity / Vertical
load resisting system shall be not considered.
Accordingly Lz, Ly, UNL parameters for all Beams will be revised.
Factor not matching with STAAD file
As per the Fire proofing specification, Block type Fire proofing is to be considered for the members having depth less
than or equal to 21 inch.
Add the Piping load data input.
Terrain category - II
Parameters needs to be updated as per the Terrain category.

Proposed location of ACHE supporting structure is at plant building Roof floor i.e. above +32.5m elevation from Ground.
Terrain roughness factor (Cr), Mean wind velocity (Vm),
Turbulence Intensity (Iv) and Wind pressure (qp) shall be calculated for the height (z) where it is proposed to place.

Parameters needs to be updated as per the Terrain category.

Wind load shall be updated as per the updated wind pressure (qp).
Typical comment for wind load application in +X, -X, +Z & -Z direction.
Wind load shall be calculated considering the Fireproofing thickness.
Horizontal Deflection criteria for columns shall be updated as per below pasted table in STAAD Design Parameter-2
Support Node numbers are not matching with the STAAD model. Update the same

Member utilization ratio shall be kept below 0.80

Equipment GA Submitted as separate document, Loads related to Equipment are taken

from Equipment GA.
Kindly Refer GA of Equipment for loads and loading points
Structural GA Drawing and Detail drawing will be submitted separately. Our regualr
practiece is to provide Bolts for full capacity of members , connection drawings will be
submitted along with structural GA.
