How to download the Software version 3.

36 in the Transceiver
unit:

The present software version in the Transceiver can be


displayed from the Capsat program as follows.

- Enter the File Menu from the Main Menu bar and press the
Enter key.
- Scroll down by using the arrow keys until About is
highlighted and press the Enter key.
- Now you should be able to see the Transceiver software
version.

Software can be downloaded into the TT-3020C, TT-3022C, TT-3022D, TT-3022E, TT-
3028CM or TT-3029A Transceiver by using the 9-pole DTE port (X3) on the backpanel
on the Transceiver, also used for communicating with a TT-3606A, TT-3606C or
Personal Computer.

A cable configured as described below can be used between a PC


and the Transceiver unit for the download.

1. Switch OFF (S1) the Transceiver unit and the PC.

2. Plug in the described cable between the Transceiver unit


and the PC.

3. Switch ON the PC.

4. Copy the ttload.exe and the V335.bin from the floppy disk
to your local harddisk.

If you e.g. want to store the files into a directory on


your harddisk named TEMP you can use the following
commands:

C:\> c:
C:\> cd \
C:\> md temp
C:\> cd temp
C:\TEMP> copy a:*.*

We assume that your harddisk is drive C and your floppy


disk is drive A.
5. Assuming that the files have now been copied to your
harddisk issue the following commands. The following
example assume that you are using serial port: COM1 on
your PC.

C:\TEMP> TTLOAD.exe V336.bin

(if you use COM2 end the string with /p2).

A window will pop-up, asking you to switch ON the


Transceiver unit.

If you for some reason get the message "Too many errors"
displayed under Status, then please repeat the command.

6. Now the Transceiver unit has been updated.

Please check that the version number is as expected. It


can be displayed from the Capsat program as follows:

- Enter the File Menu from the Main Menu bar and press the
Enter key.
- Scroll down by using the arrow keys until About is
highlighted and press the Enter key.
- Now you should be able to see the Transceiver software
version.
