Introduction
This report is made on the basis of latest own vast experience within a performing team for
reaching a particular goal and objectives. The personal team experience would be discussed in
this report and after that the feelings and appraisal of experience are also discussed in this report.
Then the ultimate output from the learning experience, professional implications and personal
views are descried shortly in here. Finally the action plan about the future improvements are also
evaluated in this report.

Statement of the team experience


An online case competition based on business context are organised by a business blog website
few month ago. I have engaged for competing with the other rival after doing registered myself
in this competition. There are 6 member team in where I was the team leader. The selected topics
of this case competition was about serving about the strategic business and management tools
suggestions for a multinational first moving consumer goods industry based company which has
been experiencing in decreasing sales. The different types of dimension and aspects of business
organisation, the present situations of the company and the long cherished goal and objectives
are discussed in this case. The attending groups had to make the solution of the case and need to
provide the strategic business recommendations for the business to exercise in each and every
levels of organisation. Actually the case competition was six hours duration so we should be
needed to give the solution of the case within this time period and after completing the solution
we submitted the solution through online process. After having the case in our hand, each and
every members of our groups read the problem carefully and noted the vital point which are
relevant for solving the case quickly. Then we had to made a structure for forming solution and
serving this to our every members of group. There are different types of analysis used in our
performance including PESTLE and SWOT for getting the proper idea about the external and
internal environment of business in where the organisation dealing their business. After that we
also analysed Porters five forces for market competitiveness and finally we gave the most
possible recommendations to the organisation which followed by the case solution to the
arranger.
Personal feelings and learning
In my individual level, I had the grate opportunities to be learned different types of lessons from
the team performance which was based on the management tools about Tuckman’s team
development stages. This business tools are used by the individuals and business organisation all
over the world for forming, norming, storming and performing the team to achieve the general
purpose of goal. First of all we formed our teams then set up the guidance and decision making
procedure. Secondly, we had different types of opinion on the basis of our individual’s
perceptions for making the design of the case solution which is vital part of Tuckmans model
named as storming. Thirdly, we segmented our individuals performing task in accordance with
the third stage of Tuckman’s model theory and finally in the fourth stage we were able to make
the probable solution. If I said about my feelings to join this competition was really remarkable.
Before starting our tasking performance I was really excited and also little bit careful about the
ultimate result of the team effort. At the time of solving the case I was little bit nervous and even
I didn’t know about my best level individual performance but the grace of almighty we had
completed our task in a efficient manner. However, we had to perform combined with corporate
culture which is discussed based on the Belbin’s team roles which is a common framework about
the team performance that helps to realise the individual role in a specific team and the
individual contribution for improving the group performances. The similar things are occurring
in our scenario where I needed to serve the information about solving this corporate problem on
the basis of my personal thoughts and innovative idea. We were able to establish the mutual
relationship with proper respect and trust the help of Adlerian theory. I could take my own
responsibilities and able to progress my sense of communication and appropriate corporate
behaviours that help to increase the interest to involve in social activities.

Evaluation and analysis of the experience


Forming the group objectives and the procedures of achieving the goals are the main
precondition behind the team success. Our objectives and procedure for performing were
obvious before starting the team formation. In individual and organisational levels, each and
every team need to have the proper time management skill to gain the specific goals of team. At
a time management sense I think we had a good experience because of completing the solution
before fixed time. Finally I can say that the time management is a vital concern for any team for
implementing the particular plan procedures within the fixed time.

Conclusions and Action plan


After completing the teamwork we identified that there are many sights of progress. According
my personal thought, the sight of sharing and cooperation with each other are badly missing at
the time of team work because each and every member in our group was busy with solving the
particular individual parts. My suggestion for recruiting the members for doing specific activities
to develop the cooperation and sharing the inner thoughts which could assist to progress the
solution of business case.

I would say about the action plans for scaling up the time management skills and mutual
communication skill for improving the team approaches and that help to contribute more for
achieving the team goals and objectives. Moreover I would focuses on segmenting the
individual’s roles and liabilities on the basis of Belbin’s team roles for making the team more
productive and efficient in the future for attending this types of case competition.
