SUBJECT : FACULTY POST-TRAINING EVALUATION

The MLQU E-Learning Team (ELT) will conduct a post-training evaluation of selected
faculty members of each Schools covering the period of August 1,8,15 and 22, 2020
(every Saturday) from 2:00 PM onwards (refer to Attachment for schedule per School).
The objectives of the post-training evaluation are the following:
a. To assess the faculty members’ readiness for the delivery of instruction for 1 st
Semester, AY 2020-2021.
b. To assess the technical skills gained by the faculty members in the recent
trainings conducted for E-Syllabus, Google Classroom and Zoom platform,
c. To determine issues and concerns among faculty members in the utilization
of Google Classroom and Zoom platform.
d. To recommend corrective measures to improve the utilization of Google
Classroom and Zoom platform for the effective delivery of instruction.

Each participating Schools shall submit three (3) faculty members who will undergo
post-training evaluation for the following areas:
1. Teaching Demonstration
- Faculty member shall conduct online lecture thru the use of Zoom
platform. Maximum of 20 minutes shall be allotted for teaching demo and
10 minutes for Q and A, from the panel of evaluators.
- Faculty member shall prepare and present a PowerPoint lecture of any
topic on his/her field of expertise.

2. Google Classroom (GC) Course Content Presentation


- Faculty member shall create one (1) GC course relevant to Item No. 1
(Teaching Demo) prior to the scheduled teaching demo. The course shall
contain basic course contents of GC such as but not limited to:
a. Posting of announcement, welcome message to the students,
b. Posting of E-Syllabus,
c. Posting of course content materials (e.g., PPT lecture material
relevant to the topic presented in Item No.1 (Teaching
Demo), website links, online reading references among others,
and
d. Other contents as needed.

3. Basic Evaluation Criteria – the following shall be used to evaluate faculty


members, such as:
a. Use/navigation of Zoom and Google Classroom and its basic
features,
b. Audio/voice quality of the faculty member,
c. Mastery of the subject/topic, and
d. Faculty preparedness to conduct online lecture.

Names of faculty members who will undergo post-training evaluation shall be submitted
by the concerned Deans/Program Heads on or before July 27, 2020, not later 5:00
PM, address to Dr. Edgar M. Chavez at [email protected].

Notes:

1. * Rank/order of presentation per School was done thru draw lots by your
respective staff/secretaries for fairness purposes, last July 22, 2020.
2. Kindly advise your respective faculty members to log-in to the Zoom at least 15
minutes before the scheduled teaching demo/evaluation.
3. Faculty members must check his/her Internet connection, computer and other
devices among others to avoid delayed in the presentation.
4. Faculty members must dress-up appropriately during the evaluation.
5. Faculty members must choose appropriate area (e.g. at home, other places) in
the conduct of teaching demo.
6. Kindly strictly observe your assigned schedule.
7. Deans/Program Heads must be present during the teaching demo of your
respective faculty members.
