Gallagher Hardware Installer

Online Course Outline


Introduction
The Gallagher Hardware Installer Online Course is a one-week online course which provides
an understanding of the fundamentals required to physically install Gallagher Hardware and
configure Controllers, HBUS devices and I/O within Command Centre Software.
On completion of the course content and a multi-choice quiz, the learner then completes a
two-hour evaluation session within Gallagher's virtual online environment to obtain Hardware
Installer Certification.
Obtaining Hardware Installer Certification is a pre-requisite for attendees that wish to further
their knowledge and complete the 2-day Access Technician Classroom course.
Attendees who attain Gallagher Hardware Installer Certification are recognized as neither
being advanced nor experienced and without immediate hands-on practice, their skills and
confidence will dissipate over time.

Goals
Gallagher Hardware Installer training based on this outline will introduce the procedures
necessary to configure: -
• Installation & Technical Specifications of Gallagher Hardware
• Power cabling, data cabling requirements
• Configuring System Alarm, Controllers, HBUS Devices, Inputs & Outputs within Gallagher
software
• Bringing Controllers and HBUS devices online.
At the completion of training attendees will have the ability and confidence to configure the
Hardware for a basic Gallagher system. Attendees are recommended to treat this course as
pre-requisite learning for the 2-day Access Technician course.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite:
• General PC Skills
• Basic understanding of networks and TCP/IP

Note
Certification is valid for a period of 2 years after which time Recertification is required to
maintain the qualification.
