COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will provide understanding to the basic concepts in the area of
entrepreneurship, understand the role and importance of entrepreneurship for economic
development, to foster personal creativity and entrepreneurial initiative, adopting of the key
steps in the elaboration of business idea, and understanding the stages of the entrepreneurial
process and the resources needed for the successful development of entrepreneurial ventures.
This course is designed to immerse learning about the fundamental aspects of an
entrepreneurial mindset and the unlimited opportunities it can provide. This course will also take
the approach that anyone (not just those who want to start businesses or enterprises) can
benefit from understanding and applying an entrepreneurial mindset to any situation that
demands change in their life, this will provides an overview of the entrepreneurial procedure that
will teach you to identify, assess, shape, and act on opportunities in a variety of contexts,
settings and organizations and the role and importance of indigenous communities in the realm
of entrepreneurship and business.

1. Analyze and identify elements of success in terms of entrepreneurial ventures, business


opportunities, environment, and its effectiveness to various entrepreneurial strategies.
2. Recognize the effectiveness of different entrepreneurial strategies and specify the basic
performance indicators of entrepreneurial activity
3. Apply understanding on the fundamental concepts and tools that serve as the foundation
of opportunity assessment and entrepreneurial development, and how these concepts
and tools may be applied to real world business situations and opportunities and its
implications to Indigenous communities in the Philippines as well as in the preservation
of culture.
