media.

Nowadays, fake news has become increasingly prevalent over the last few years. It has
become a large problem in recent years due to the ease with which it can be spread on social
media and other online platforms. Platforms like Facebook and Twitter make it easy to share
trending news without taking the time to critically evaluate it. We can prevent the fake news
from being spread widely with check the comment, ask the expert, and check the source.
Firstly, we must check the comment before we jump to the conclusion of believing and
sharing it with our friends or anyone. As we know, comments can save us from spreading fake
rumors because people who do not believe the news will protest and block these with the
comment the honest and true news. Anything when we read something suspicious online, we
must be cautious because everything can be true or false. Thus, we must not jump to conclusions
and must-hear from other parties for precautions. For instance, when we scroll the feeds on
Facebook, we must read the comment before believing so that we can prevent the fake news
spread.
Next, ask the expert to also can avoid fake news to expand widely. Many times on
Facebook, we will click on a story and notice that the date was from a few months or years ago,
but our "friends" are acting outraged as if it is happening at the moment. If we want to know is
the information relevant and is the information current? We can ask expert people from the
official website or we can consult the fact-checking sites. In addition, we can avoid ourselves
from being involved with misleading information spreading all around. Ourselves can halt the
spread of fake news by not spreading it further on social media, through email, or in
conversation.
Besides, we must check the source that we read online. Many popular sources,
particularly online news sources and social media, are competing for the attention through
outlandish claims, and sometimes with the intent of manipulating the viewer. Check the web
address for the page you are reading. Spelling errors in company names, or strange-sounding
extensions. With this, we can be able to distinguish between fake and true news if we double-
checking the source and the content. The fake news can be least spread all around if people look
more into the source before reading it.
In conclusion, this essay has described the three major on how to curb the spread of fake
news on social media. Check the comment, ask the expert, and check the source is the way of
preventing the fake news from being spread all around in social media. If we follow this
suggestion, all the users of the media social can be cautious when reading something suspicious
and indirectly can lead us to the right news. Thus, I believe if all people follow the methods that I
mentioned in the discussion, the fake news can be avoided and block from being spread widely
in the media social.
