TASK 1
AIM

To ensure that students will achieve the course outcome which is:

CLO2: Demonstrates the problem solving approach in resolving welfare economics issues in real
estate market.

INSTRUCTIONS
 Form a group which consists of 6-7 members and from FIVE (5) groups among your class.
 The submission of the assignment should be submitted as according to the following format:
 The assignment must must be submitted in the form of AO Size Poster which
consist of: (an abstract of the project, background of the project, the idea of
implementation of the project, layout plan/ illustration on the project, relevant
data and conclusion)
 It is a free format poster report.
 Any report found to be plagiarized will be penalised as accordance to UiTM Academic Rules.
 The assessment rubrics are as follows:
 Poster
 Poster Presentation

SUBMISSION
The report and presentation will be on the Week 11.

QUESTION
You are required to find a case study in any districts of Perak State by reading in the internet. The site
should be a “brownfield site”. Proposed the redevelopment of the “brownfield site” by using the related
and theories in land economics.

 The content of your assignment should elaborate of the following:


i. An abstract or summary of the proposed project

ii. A brief introduction or background of the choosen site comprising of the
Location, District, the history of the choosen site, decsription on previous
economics activities on the choosen site
iii. Describe your idea of redevelopment on the brownfield site - type of
development your are planning to, what are the specialization activities will be
carried on upon the redevelopment
iv. Any relevant data, facts and figures
v. The illustration/layout plan on the proposed redevelopment - the drawing, any
immitation from the redevelopment exmaples whether the site is in Malaysia or
outside of Malaysia
vi. Conclusion

AIM

to real estate markets.

INSTRUCTIONS
 Form a group which consists of 6-7 members and from FIVE (5) groups among your class.
 The submission of the assignment should be submitted as according to the following format:
 Report must be submitted as according to academic report writing format which
comprise of (Table of Contents, Acknowledgment, Introduction, Content,
Conclusion, References and Appendices.
 Report should be using Arial Font, 12, 1.5 spacing and the paragraph should be
Justified.
 Any report found to be plagiarized will be penalised as accordance to UiTM Academic Rules.
 The assessment rubrics are as follows:

 Presentation

SUBMISSION
The report and presentation will be on the Week 14.

QUESTION
The development of regional corridors in Malaysia are generally focusing on few main objectives. The
development of those corridors are to promote balanced development, accelerating the movements
towards high-value-knowledge driven economics activities as well as identifying anchor investors and
supporting investors in each region.

 For the purpose of this assignment, each of the groups are required to discuss ONE (1) of the

FIVE (5) economics corridor in Malaysia as the following:
i. Iskandar Malaysia Development Region (IM)
ii. Northern Corridor Economics Region (NCER)
iii. East Coast Economics Region (ECER)
iv. Sabah Development Corridor (SDC)
v. Sarawak Corridor Renewable Energy (SCORE)

 The content of your assignment should elaborate of the following:


vii. The objective of regional development
viii. The corridor authority of the chosen corridor
ix. Roles of the corridor activities
x. The areas/economics activities cater by the chosen corridor
xi. The contribution of the chosen corridor to the Malaysian Economics
xii. How those corridor effects the property industry
