Methodology
The apparatus is set up by using a retort stand and clamp, a string, a bob, and hanger. Measure
1.25m of string and it was tied onto the retort clamp and the bob was tied to the other end of the
string (Make sure the length of the string between the clamp and bob is 1m.). A protractor was
used to measure a 10 ° tilt from normal for the string. Then, the string was released, and the total
time taken for 10 complete oscillations of the pendulum was recorded.
The same procedures were repeated for measurements of strings (0.8, 0.6, 0.4, 0.2)m. All the
recording was recorded into a table. Then, the whole experiment was repeated one more time to
give more accurate readings by averaging the times together. Finally, the period of a single
oscillation was determined from the average time.

Analysis
In this experiment, we calculated the value of gravity by using a method which is by calculating
the gradient of the graph, period of one oscillation (T2) vs. length of string (m). The details is as
follows:
