I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:

PRIMING

I-WITNESS
The class will watch a video presentation about a father who will do every thing for
his daughters despite of his health condition. Then the students will answer the following
question as they interpret the video themselves.
Ask:
 What can you say about the video clip?
 What traits of the father in the video do you like most?
 Why do you need to sacrifice something to help the people you love?

A. ACTIVITY
Task 1: Unblocking of Difficulty

4 PIC 1 WORD: The students will play a game by guessing the word/s that the four
photos are having in common. They will be guided by the letters that will serve as a
clue.

Task 2: I-CONNECT
The student will read/ listen to the story of “ How Odin Lost His Eye “. After the
reading, the teacher will ask the student a comprehension question to check if they
really understand the story.
Ask:
 Why did Odin go to Mimir? What is his purpose?
 What did Odin sacrifice to pay the price asked by Mimir?
 Consider Odin’s desire. Does it serve as an opportunity to prove he can face the
challenges?
 What behavior of Odin do you admire and has been illustrated or featured in the
story?
 Are the virtue highlighted still observed these days? Prove your point.
B. ANALYSIS
After understanding the text let the students share their observations by telling the
differences and similarities of Odin and Ryan Arebuabo.

C. ABSTRACTION
Questions:
 How do Odin and Ryan Arebuabo taught you about the value of being a father to their
children?
 If you were Odin would you the same? Why?

D. APPLICATION
The teacher will give representative task to each group. They are given 10 minutes for the
preparation and another 5-7 minutes for the presentation of their collaborative work.
