400w Heavy Duty Sand Rail Electric Power Steering Kit PDF

This document provides instructions for installing a 400w electric power steering kit. The red and black wires from the kit must be connected directly to the battery, not through a fuse box. Any alterations to the existing wires between the steering computer and motor will void the warranty. The document also provides a table explaining common fault codes, diagnoses, and suggested solutions that may appear if there is a malfunction with an electronic part of the power steering system.

wire the computer to your fuse box. Wiring the computer to the fuse
box allows for a short voltage drop that turns the unit off intermittently.

If there is a malfunction with an electronic part, the system will create a code to identify the problem. Each fault
code displays a series of flashes with a fault light. Every fault code is composed of double digits, each double
digit is indicated by a series of long and short flashes of light. Each long flash is 2 seconds in length and each
short flash is 1 second in length .There will be 3 seconds space between the long flashes and the short flashes.
For example: long flash\long flash \space\short flash represents the code number 21.

Example:

Code Diagnosis content fault code wave Suggestion

21 Main torque sensor disconnection 1.Check sensor wire harness

2.Replace ECU
22 Main torque sensor output error (voltage is too high or low)

23 Sub. torque sensor disconnected

24 Sub. torque sensor output error (voltage is too high or low)

25 Main and Sub. torque sensor difference is too large

26 Main torque sensor inner fault

Replace ECU
35 Current sensor zero offset is too large

32 Motor disconnected 1. Re-insert wire of the motor

2. Replace ECU

33 Current of ECU is over the limit

Replace ECU
34 One side of motor has no assistance

36 Motor voltage abnormal 1.Check motor wire
