Notes:

1. The British Friends of Harvard Business School awards scholarships on the basis of financial
need. Financial need is defined as earning £50,000 gross pa or less plus other financial
resources of no more than £20,000.

2. Successful candidates will be asked to give a ‘moral’ undertaking that (1) once their own net
worth is sufficiently large they will in due course make a donation to the British Friends of
Harvard Business School to fund more scholarships, and (2) that it is their intention to make
their career in the UK and return to work here after completion of their MBA for at least 2
years. Please note that Fulbright grantees enter the United States on an Exchange Visitor
(J-1) visa under the U.S. Department of State programme and are subject to the two-year
home-country residency requirement associated with that visa. Candidates will not be eligible
for a US residency or work visa until they have fulfilled the two-year home residency
requirement of the J-1 visa.
