Microsoft offers and sells its Office tools and services on several devices in different ways with
corresponding differences. Consequently, it causes a lot of confusion in the user’s community once it
releases something new. There are two major types of Microsoft Office suites, the Microsoft Office
and Office 365, but users are not familiar regarding the difference between the two. Meanwhile,
nowadays most of the customers use Office 365 includes fully installed Office applications that the
customers are looking for. All things have their own benefits and disadvantages. As to Office 365, its
main advantage is as a part of its cloud-based service, users can also purchase MS Office. This means
you can still buy MS Office usage license as a standalone suite, or use the tool as part of an Office 365
subscription. In addition, once Microsoft releases new updates, you can experience new features
automatically, unlike on the Microsoft Office, wherein you have to purchase another version for you to
have one. Aside from that, each user can install it on five PCs or Macs, five tablets and five mobile
devices and users can share their subscription with up to six family members depending on your
subscription plan. Moreover, Office 365 has more applications in which it provides web-based access
to the traditional apps such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as other web-based apps and
services. It also offers a wide range variety of software programs that are all familiar applications and
productivity tools which helps the users to finish and accomplish important tasks and can bring
information together. Being a cloud-based system is one of the major advantages of MS Office 365
and much beneficial for the users, because it allows users to work with flexibility and work anywhere
with internet connection or without through storing all the data to be used in the cloud. It is very
beneficial for the users especially for the students, because it is easy to access whenever the user
wants, in terms of multi-tasking users can accomplish his/her tasks in different subjects or course
while doing his/her job as a working student. Users can easily accomplish his/her task in a single time,
just pick up his/her mobile phone and open his/her work in MS Office 365.
In addition, MS Office 365 also offers a major tool in communicating to others, through the use of
the communication style with a collaborative tool which is “Teams” it allows group of people to work
as one and work together by sharing the documents, screen sharing or even sharing project planning
tools in a real-time situation. Aside from that, through MS Office 365 users can easily access and
update those latest versions of the product and also users can download updates and upgrades for more
convenient experience as long as they have subscription. When it comes to security and privacy of the
users in his/her information, email, and data the aforecited MS Office is much hands-on in securing
the information and monitoring those threats and virus to avoid loss of information.

CHAPTER 4
ACTIVITY
On the other hand, there are few disadvantages to having or using Office 365. Its main disadvantage
is it is costly because you have to pay for its subscription monthly or annually based on your preferred
plan. Aside from that, there are instances that you also have to pay for unnecessary features that are
not beneficial to you. In addition, it requires internet connectivity for it to be able to work and to use,
because through the use of internet connections users can easily access their stored files and data.
Users also consider the compatibility issues with bespoke systems as a disadvantage and the limited
functions, meaning if the users did no pay certain or specific amount for subscription, they might not
get all the service that MS Office 365 offers.
Therefore, we prefer Office 365 because aside from offering fully-installed Office applications and
providing the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, there are also automatic
updates that will keep your usage more beneficial and productive. Most importantly, Office 365 is
connected to the cloud, so you can access your content from any device. Though it is costly compared
to Microsoft Office, its features and offered applications deserve the cost you have paid. It is also
much beneficial for us as a future professionals, because in real industry MS Office 365 is definitely
use for the preparation of different written works. It is important to engaged ourselves in using MS
Offices, because it is useful when it comes to actual practices. As the time goes by, different changes
are happening in our generation, for us to become technologically-oriented we must adapt those
changes and new features that MS Office 365 offer to us. In being practical we all know that we will
use the installed MS Offices, but in terms of being convenient, flexible and adaptive it is more
suggested to use MS Office 365 especially in our current situation because of pandemic, we can use it
for use to become flexible in our tasks and increase the level of securities we need in our information
or data.
