Module 1

Lesson 2. Learner-Centered Psychological Principles

Activity

Do this activity before you read about the Learner-Centered Principles.

1. Examine the title, “Learner-Centered Principles”. Quickly, jot down at least 10


words that comes to your mind.
Answer.
 Learner/students is responsible for learning while the Teacher is responsible for
facilitating the learning.

2. Go back to each word and write phrases about why you think the word can be
associated with LCP.
Answer.
 I’ve write those words because it suit to the “Learner- Centered Principles,
Teacher have the responsibility for contributing their knowledge and ideas to the
learners. Since the mind of the learners is like an empty bottle that teacher will
filled it with new learnings.

Analysis

Form groups of three members each. Share your response. Summarize your group’s
responses.
 We think the Learner-Centered Principles focus on individual learners because their
have there own heredity, perspective, background and especially talents. The learner can
gave an idea to share his/her thoughts to the class. A focus on learning and how it occurs
and about teaching practices that are most effective in promoting the highest levels of
motivation, learning and achievement for all learners.

Application

Read more on Learner – Centered Classrooms and make a poster about it.
