Improved Practice Based on the Unit of Study
Based on the experience of developing and delivering your instructional unit, list three short-
term goals to improve specific areas of your teaching practice based on the unit of instruction
and describe your plan to reach each short-term goal.

with ABAB patterns. I will have different
worksheets with more complex patterns to
meet the needs of my higher students and
simple patterns to help my lower students
meet their goals.

Long-Term Goals: Teachers who are dedicated to their profession and to improving the lives of
students will continually look for ways to grow and learn. The best way to ensure that learning is
prioritized is to create a long-term goal. Create one long term goal that is specific and
measurable. Make sure to discuss the following:

Rationale: Why did you choose this goal? How I have selected these goals to better help my

To support me, I will gather information to
help me learn the best ways to incorporate
technology into my classrooms lessons. This
will help me to be more equipped for my

vast impact on their learning.

take will be a webinar class to help me
improve my technology skills. One webinar
that I will take is Reading A-Z. I will research
daily to see if I can find any new materials to
help improve my lessons for my third step.

or pictures that will assist my students in
learning ABAB patterns or ABCABC
patterns.
