Myth Writing Rubric

This rubric evaluates students on creating an original myth about a natural phenomenon. It assesses students on 4 learning outcomes: understanding the genre of myths; including sufficient details to explain the phenomenon; proper writing conventions; and effective peer review. Students are scored on a scale of 1 to 4 in each category, with 4 being exemplary understanding or work, and 1 being inadequate. The highest scores go to myths that demonstrate extensive understanding of myths and include thorough explanations of the phenomenon, as well as flawless writing and highly effective peer review.
