Overview of ACS Dialogs and Functions HQ

This release note describes new features and changes to ACS790 software. New features include a Remote Tool Access application for connecting to web servers over cloud. Changes include performance improvements for reading/writing parameter sets and updating the .NET framework. Issues addressed include stretched plant diagrams and prioritizing read/write operations over error refreshes.

New features

Remote Tool Access

With ACS790 installation, a new application named “Remote Tool
Access” also gets installed on PC.

Remote Tool Access facilitates connection to the web servers which are
connected over cloud using desktop tools like ACS, ETS, Web browser
etc.

Introduction to new features

Remote Tool Access

With ACS790 installation, a new application
named “Remote Tool Access” also gets installed
on PC.

Remote Tool Access facilitates connection to

web servers which are connected over cloud.

Note: The improvement is there only if any ACS

§ If Microsoft Access Runtime 2016 x64 bit is present on the machine, trends are not getting created.

Workaround:
Uninstall Microsoft Access Runtime 2016 x64 bit and install
o Either Microsoft Access Runtime 2016 x32 bit or
o Any other Microsoft Access Runtime version which is lower than 2016, e.g.:
o Microsoft Access Runtime 2013 or
o Microsoft Access Runtime 2010
