1 29+510 Minor bridge proposed on curve with super elevation. Please
ensure super elevation and extra widening requirement in the
GAD.
2 33+470 Minor bridge proposed on curve with super elevation. Please
ensure super elevation and extra widening requirement in the
GAD.
3 44+200 – Steep gradient upto 6.8% is proposed. Please reduce the gradient
44+700 to meet the IRC standards.
4 ALL Bridge GADs could not be identified as there is no chainage given
in the GADs drawings. Separate GAD for all bridge to provided
with all dimensions.
Geotechnical investigation details for structures missing.
5 ALL Street lighting is not provided on builtup areas, junctions etc.
This important for road safety. This will considered as a
gender responsive design as street light will improve women
safety.
6 ALL BOQ 3.03 - Grade III material is used for GSB. Since the
thickness of GSB is only 200mm, grade V or VI suitable for
drainage layer need to be used. Revise the item specification
to reflect this and change the rate.

BOQ Sr No 3.48 BC BC grade 1 is considered in BOQ. Please


change it to grade 2 as thickness of BC is 30mm and also
adopt rate for grade 2. Make similar change for junction
improvement item also.
7 ALL Utility shifting cost of 234 lakhs estimated. Actual cost of
estimate from the concerned utility agency may be obtained.
8 All Builtup TCS – It is recommended to provide paver block section
for the varying shoulder.
9 ALL Please explain the difference between TCS 1 and TCS 1A.
Flexible pavement design thickness shown in the design report
and TCS 1 and 1A is not matching. Design shall be based on the
effective CBR. Further TCS for some section of the road is
missing. Please correct table in the drawing or add additional
section.
10 ALL Signage Plan -
1. Different speed adopted in the design but speed
restriction signs missing.

2. Same sign used for side road left / right. Also sign
should interchanged for up/down direction.
Overtaking restricted sections to be identified and provided
signs for overtaking restriction.
11 ALL 3. Please provide design details of rigid pavement.
12 ALL Plan and profile shown upto 45+000. Please clearly mark the
end chainage of the project.

1. Page 301 Site - Please correct the end chainage
2. Page 301 Table 2.1. Details start from 22+646 to
44+900. Please clearly state the chainage given as
existing / design chainage. Also ensure the details for
the full length of project road. Please ensure this for all
other tables.
3. Page 307 1 Carriageway: Please check the subsection
numbering. Please correct subsection number for the
remaining sections also
Schedule B
4. Development of the project highway. Add the following
at the end the section.
“The alignment plans of the Project Highway are
specified in Annex-III of Schedule A shall be deemed to
be part of this Schedule B. The proposed profile of the
project highway as indicated in the Annex- III of
Schedule A shall be followed by the contractor with
minimum FRL as indicated in the alignment plan. Based
on site/design requirement, the Contractor may,
however, improve/upgrade upon the alignment plans
and profiles as indicated in Annexure - III of Schedule A
and raise the finished roadway level (FRL) with
approval from the Department within the available
Right of Way.
5. Please restart the sub section numbering from 1.
6. Page 318 Two laning - Change the heading to
Rehabilitation and augmentation. Also add the start and
end chainage to describe the project section.
7. Page 319 Annex I Description of the Project

9. “[Note: Description of the Project Highway shall be
given by the Authority in detail together with
explanatory drawings (where necessary) to explain the
Authority’s requirements precisely in order to avoid
subsequent changes in the Scope of the Project. The
particulars that must be specified in this Schedule-B are
listed below as per the requirements of the Manual of
Specifications and Standards for Two Laning of
Highways (IRC:SP:73)], referred to as the “Manual”. If
any standards, specifications or details are not given in
the Manual, the minimum design/construction
requirements shall be specified in this Schedule. In
addition to these particulars, all other essential project

specific details, as required, should be provided in order


to define the Scope of the Project clearly and precisely.]”
10. Start the number for Annex I from 1
11. Add the following as sub section 1
1. Widening of the Existing Highway
(i) The Project Highway shall follow the existing
alignment unless otherwise specified by the Authority
and shown in the alignment plans specified in Annex-III
of Schedule-A. Geometric deficiencies, if any, in the
existing horizontal and vertical profiles shall be
corrected as per the prescribed standards for
[plain/rolling/hilly] terrain to the extent land is
available.
12. Width of carriageway section table to be rechecked after
correcting the TCS drawings. Also please give TCS
reference in the table.
13. Annex 1 4.1 Cross section – add the following to the
note
c) Cross-section at minor bridge approaches are to be
followed matching to adjoining cross-sections with
suitable transition.
d) Where cross-section changes, a transition shall be
provided as per the Manual.
e) Design & specification of paved shoulders & granular
material shall confirm to the requirements specified in
the Manual.
f) Utility duct shall be provided to accommodate
crossings of utility services.
g) The chainages given in above table are indicative and
length of approaches may increase or decrease
depending upon profile designed by contractor as per
Manual and specifications for road & bridge works
(MoRT&H, 5th Revision – 2013). However, this change
in length of approaches shall not be treated as change of
scope. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement
the width of the paved carriageway and cross sectional
features shall conform to Paragraph 1.(ii).a above &
Cross Sections given at Schedule D. Invert levels of the
longitudinal drains shall be decided as per adjoining
draining area and properties.
14. Page 321- 4.2 Alignment Plan and Logitudianl Section.
If Appendix B – III is different from alignment plan
mentioned in Section A Annex III, please provide
additional drawings for section A.
15. Page 322 – TCS 2 also have paved shoulder with varying
width. Please add the details.
16. Page 322 4.9 type of pavement
Pavement thickness shall be based on effective
subgrade CBR.
17. Appendix B IX Details of Proposed Utility Structures: It
is recommended to have same standard for all package.
Kindly finalize the spacing in consultation with PWD.

Schedule C
18. Table 2.1 Bus Shelter / Bus bay: 6 bus shelter with bus
bays provided. Please mark the busbays on the plan
and ensure that the ROW is available for the provision
of bus bays.
19. Page 413 Toilet Block - Please provide the drawing as
mentioned in the schedule C.
Schedule D
Provide details of all codes forms part of the design
requirement.
