The activity question is how I am going to relate all of the following photos given; to the code of ethics discussed in
the asynchronous mode of session last week. First we need to understand what the Article 1 to 3 is all about. Article 1,
tackles about the life as an Engineer how an engineer should take care of his duties, strive for improvement, address
an opinion, and consider the safety of life in a project; all in all while upholding the honor and dignity of his
profession. Article 2 is all about how an Electrical Engineer should treat a client and develop a relationship; it involves
having a proper communication and formal contract. It must always be a balance and equal workflow and credits for a
smooth and less compromised project transaction. Last is Article 3; it deals with how an Electrical Engineer should act
upon a fellow engineer in the field to maintain the professionalism in the workspace. Creating the ideally healthy
environment for every practitioner while working in a competitively professional phase.
Now let us proceed to the relation of the different photos given from the Code of Ethics. The first one is an official
letter from our very own Chairman of Professional Regulatory Commission Teofilo S. Pilando ACT Jr.

addresses the whole Article 1 to 3 and how engineers should continue to prolong the Code of Ethics through their
entire Professional Life. It also addresses that practitioners should review the standards which was stated in Article 1
to 3 that guides an Electrical Engineer regarding Professional Life, Relation with Client and Employer, and relations
with fellow Engineers.

The second picture shows the Republic Act No. 10912 that states “An act mandating and strengthening the continuing
professional development program for all regulated professions, creating the continuing professional development
council, and appropriating funds therefore, and for other related purposes” we can relate the code of ethics to this
statement through its purpose and message. The message of the Republic Act no. 10912 is that an Electrical Engineer
to strive for more and continues to be better while committing to the Code of Ethics.
The third and the final one is the one that gave me a wide variety of opinions and thoughts. The diagram shows a track
options that an Electrical Engineer can take, whether academic or professional track, all leads to a possible High Level
position that provides a professional outlook in the field. We can relate this graph to the code of ethics because it
embodies all the content of Article 1 to Article 3; a graduate can choose within those tracks and still practice the
professionalism to advance to another level. The guide is beneficial as a graduate progress to each level; they can learn
how to implement the code of ethics in order to progress to the end goal which is being a PhD and a member of IIEE
High Level Position; although there really is no end goal (other than age) when it comes to being a professional, the
ethics live in every professional and it mirrors their work.
We, members of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE), in recognition of the constant
involvement of technology, in uplifting the quality of life, and in accepting a personal obligation and dedication to our
profession, its members, and the communities we serve, do hereby pledge and commit ourselves to the highest ethical and
professional conduct, and agree to:
