Introduction
Switzerland, a country with breath taking scenery and captivating mountain ranges. Famous for

Christianity is the major religion in Switzerland. Forty two percent of the people are Roman
Catholic and another 35.3% are Protestant. Muslims form 4.3% of the population with other
Christian sects and unspecified religions making up the rest.
Climate
The climate is moderate with no excessive heat, cold or humidity.
From July to August the daytime temperature range is 18 to 28 °C and from January to February
the range is -2 to 7 °C. In spring and autumn, the daytime temperature range is 8 to 15 °C.
Depending on the altitude the temperature range may vary. It is highly recommended to visitors
to pack a sweater, good walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a compact umbrella and/or a
light rain coat.
When to go?
If you are looking for a ski holiday then visit late December to early April, because it is high
season in ski resorts. In October till December prices are up to 50% lower than in high season.
Although sights and restaurants are open fewer days and shorter hours. Spring is idyllic, flowers
and local produce; this experience can be felt in the months of April to September.

Transport
Bicycle- Switzerland is the home for cyclists, many cities
are equipped with free-bike-hire schemes. Bicycles can
easily be purchased at stations
Bus- Access to all the remote areas
Car- A useful vehicle for regions where public transport is
inmate
Train- the Swiss train is an amazing way of transport, plenty of
packages and travel cards are available.

very strict animal rights laws and they believe that a social pet
living in isolation is classed as abuse. Its illegal to have only one
hamster, guinea pig, fish, bird, or rabbit. Many services have
been made around this law including lawyers who represent
lonely pets.

average Swiss person eats 19 pounds of chocolate every year
which is the equivalent of 172 bars a year. The USA doesn’t even
come close consuming half of this.

1 Zermatt, Materhorn
