Interpretation of literates in different Union Territories of India is as follows:
• The average count of male literates in different union territories of India is 1231020.571
• The maximum count of male literates is from Delhi -194856
• The minimum count of male literates is from Lakshadweep -28023.
The total number of male literates from different union territories of India is 8617144.
Interpretation of female literates in different Union Territories of India:
• The average count of female literates in different union territories of India is 948834.2857
• The maximum count of female literates is from the of Delhi -542911
• The minimum count of female literates is from Lakshadweep -24530
• The total number of female literates from different union territories of India is 6641840.
Conclusion:
From the above discussed data, we can conclude that maximum and minimum literacy rate for both genders
is from Andhra Pradesh and west Bengal respectively. While in Union Territories, Delhi is the highest
literate UT in India. So, we can say that our government should take appropriate steps to literate those Union
Territories and states which are not that much developed like west Bengal and Sikkim. Developed states or
union territories are more aware about importance of education system and that’s why they are growing.
