LAB 2: SPEED/POSITION CONTROL OF A DC MOTOR


AY2020/2021, Semester 1

e-LAB INSTRUCTIONS

This lab will be conducted in full e-learning mode. There will be no physical experiments to be
performed by students using the equipment as described in the Lab Manual.

The following tasks are to be completed for this lab by each student, as part of the continuing
assessment of this module. All material (i.e., the Lab Manual, the Data Sheet, and the videos)
mentioned in these instructions are available on LumiNUS – either in the Files section or the
Multimedia section.

1. Read through the Lab Manual to learn about the purpose, the setup, and the equipment
used in this lab.
2. Study the concepts relevant to the experiments.
3. Watch the videos on the theoretical background and the experiment procedures
associated with this lab.
4. Write an individual lab report following the instructions as given in the Lab Manual,
using the Data Sheet provided.
5. Submit the report by uploading it into the folder Report Submission – Lab 2 Speed/Position
Control of a DC Motor on LumiNUS, as is indicated by the red arrow in the figure below.
6. The deadline for uploading the lab report is 14 September, 11:59 PM, Singapore time.
