Smithsonian Institution May 2018 – August 2018


• Interned at the geospatial department at the Smithsonian Institution
• Learned about Smithsonian Facility facilities management database and assisted in creating and updating data
elements to add into the system
• Assisted in gathering utilities and space through site surveys. Worked with spatial facilities data and was able to
understand the importance of accurate facilities and utilities management data to daily operations.

Smithsonian Institution May 2017 - August 2017
• Interned under the geospatial department at the Smithsonian Institution.
• Manually checked utility data at the National Zoo and uploaded the attribute data on the Smithsonian's database.
Also created new maps to update new utility plans and associated attributes.
• Used programs such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD to map utilities as well as examine existing floorplans. Helped
manually survey the floor plans and update new floor plan data on AutoCAD.
