Angular cast steel is more aggressive than shot. Service characteristics depend upon hardness selection. Blastline is the exclusive distributor of STEEL SHOT
WORKS, UK manufacturer of a range of Eurpean Quality Grits. The hardness of our material is 473 HV in comparison to WA – 487 HV. In other words, we have
not hard, but very rigid granules, which operate selectively: they do not wear blast machine parts but clean surface perfectly.
APPLICATION
• Ideal for aggressive cleaning applications that include preparation of metal surfaces prior to subsequent coating, surface profiling prior to rubber bonding
and lining, removal of sand from castings, descaling of bars and strips etc.
The shot provides greater impact and hammering action to peen and fully clean various forms of contamination from a variety of steel and foundry products. • Industry uses : widely used in machine-building, metallurgy, chemical industry, ship-building and ship repairs, aircraft industry, reinforcements , tubes

COPPER SLAG
ADVANTAGES : • Economical • Free Silica • Chloride content below < 25 PPM • Sharp and angular material • Hardness • Better productivity • Safe disposal
- along with other waste material since the product does not have leachable effect. However it is subject to the local municipality waste disposal procedure
• Recyclable - but it depends on the contaminants and the availability of coarser material after blasting. Generally it is not recommended but can be used
subject to the above at least once again
GARNET ALUMINIUM OXIDE
1 Garnet has many applications and is mainly used as an abrasive in abrasive blasting & water jet cutting and as a adsorbent in

of non-skid tracks, steps, sports ground surfaces, etc also referred to as Brown Bauxite, Brown Fused Alumina and Brown
Corundum. Blastline stocks brown aluminum oxide produced by
fusing bauxite and anthracite in an electric arc furnace at high temperature.
BLASTING GRADE The resulting oxide is over 95% Al203. Its high density and angular
sharpness make it one of the fastest, most versatile and economical

SODIUM BICARBONATE

Soda is a crystalline structured abrasive, white in colour but often
appears as a fine powder. It is a non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable
(non-sparking),watersolublemedia.Thisinorganiccompoundishighinpurity
allowing it to have an angular particle shape. The abrasive is extremely soft,
with a Mohs hardness of 2.5. This abrasive removes coatings without causing
heat buildup, sparks or abrasion to the surface being blasted.
This soft abrasive may be used on wood, brick, marble and other surfaces.
Ideal for a variety of applications from heavy duty components to delicate,
thin-gauged materials such as aluminium, copper, etc. Suitable for open
blasting applications where reduced dust levels and ease of waste disposal
are essential. Used in both industrial and commercial cleaning and coating
removal applications and in dry/wet blast applications where a gentle-
blasting action is required.
