COPPER SLAG

Blastline is a distributor of Oman Abrasives who


manufactures a range of Grit from Mineral Slag which
converts itself into Iron Silicate during the smelting and
quenching process in the Copper Smelter. The product is
sold under the trade name of OMGRIT®.
OMGRIT® is manufactured to conform to the ISO Standard
11126-3 applicable for Copper Refinery Slag Abrasives and
SSPC – AB 1, with Batch Quality Certification. Every bag is
identified with Batch Control tag for Quality traceability.

SODIUM BICARBONATE

Soda is a crystalline structured abrasive, white in colour but often
appears as a fine powder. It is a non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-flammable
(non-sparking),watersolublemedia.Thisinorganiccompoundishighinpurity
allowing it to have an angular particle shape. The abrasive is extremely soft,
with a Mohs hardness of 2.5. This abrasive removes coatings without causing
heat buildup, sparks or abrasion to the surface being blasted.
This soft abrasive may be used on wood, brick, marble and other surfaces.
Ideal for a variety of applications from heavy duty components to delicate,
thin-gauged materials such as aluminium, copper, etc. Suitable for open
blasting applications where reduced dust levels and ease of waste disposal
are essential. Used in both industrial and commercial cleaning and coating
removal applications and in dry/wet blast applications where a gentle-
blasting action is required.
