A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson Have a drill on multiplication facts using window cards or flash cards.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Show a transparent plastic container filled with pebbles. Ask pupils to guess
(ENGAGE) the number of pebbles inside the container. Let one pupil count the pebbles
to find the answer. Ask them how they make a good guess of the total
number of pebbles.
