1 Lead work place communication

A leader is the one in the charge, the person who convinces other people to follow. A
great leader inspires confidence in other people and moves them to action. Workplace
communication is the process of exchanging information and ideas, both verbal and non-verbal,
within an organization. An organization may consist of employees from different parts of the
society. These may have different cultures and backgrounds, and can be used to different norms.
To unite activities of all employees and restrain from any missed deadline or activity that could
affect the company negatively, communication is crucial. Effective workplace communication
ensures that all the organizational objectives are achieved. Workplace communication is
tremendously important to organizations because it increases productivity and efficiency.
Ineffective workplace communication leads to communication gaps between employees, which
causes confusion, wastes time, and reduces productivity. Misunderstandings that cause friction
between people can be avoided by effective workplace communication. Effective
communication, also called open communication, prevents barriers from forming among
individuals within companies that might impede progress in striving to reach a common goal.
For businesses to function as desired, managers and lower-level employees must be able to
interact clearly and effectively with each other through verbal communication and non-verbal
communication to achieve specific business goals. Effective communication with clients plays a
vital role in development of an organization and success of any business. When
communicating, nonverbal communication must also be taken into consideration. How a person
delivers a message has a lot of influence on the meaning of this one.
Each of us must have an effective communication to have an understanding in each other.
2. Apply math and science principle in technical training.

New technologies have generated increased and varied application of scientifically based
materials in the world of work, thereby increasing the importance of science and math
knowledge and skills for workers. For many students, science and math are intimidating subjects.
Low achieving and average students tend to shy away from such courses as they represent
unfamiliar and difficult concepts. Stereotypic images and expectations, lack of self-confidence,
and failure to perceive relevance are some of the reasons that females are so greatly
underrepresented in courses in mathematics, science, and technology .To be competitive in the
work force, however, these barriers must be overcome as the demand for workers with relevant
science knowledge and problem-solving skills increases.
3. Apply environmental principles and advocate conservation

As the human population grows and grows, natural resources are being used at a rapid
rate, and large areas of forest are being converted for human use. How do you think public land
should be managed to deal with these types of environmental issues?
This viewpoint requires that the environment be used in a way that is sustainable, and it
ensures that the natural resources will be used in a manner that will meet the present day needs
for the resource without jeopardizing the supply of the resource for future generations.
By using the environment sustainably, the environment and the natural resources it
provides will not be depleted or destroyed permanently - and will be available for human use for
a very long time. If people do not manage the land properly and the resources are not being used
sustainably, then the environment can be destroyed, and the conservation method will have
failed.
4. Utilized IT application in technical training
Study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating,
using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources".
Educational technology is the use of both physical hardware and educational theoretic. It
encompasses several domains including learning theory, computer-based training, online
learning, and where mobile technologies are used, m-learning. Accordingly, there are several
discrete aspects to describing the intellectual and technical development of educational
technology:
Educational technology is an inclusive term for both the material tools and the theoretical
foundations for supporting learning and teaching. Educational technology is not restricted to
high technology but is anything that enhances classroom learning in the utilization of
blended, face to face, or online learning. Effective technology use deploys multiple evidence-
based strategies concurrently (e.g. adaptive content, frequent testing, immediate feedback,
etc.), as do effective teachers. Using computers or other forms of technology can give
students practice on core content and skills while the teacher can work with others, conduct
assessments, or perform other tasks. Through the use of educational technology, education is
able to be individualized for each student allowing for better differentiation and allowing
students to work for mastery at their own pace.
5. Lead small teams
This competency standard covers the skills and knowledge required to lead and develop
small teams to achieve designated assignment instructions within a security context. It requires
the ability to allocate duties and schedule rosters, set and maintain team and individual
performance standards, facilitate open communication and resolve individual or team concerns.
This work would be carried out under limited supervision within organisational guidelines.

6. Apply work ethic, values and quality principle
Values and ethics are the cornerstone for both personal and professional success. The way an
individual or group interacts with others exposes their genuine character because actions speak
louder than words. Those with a strong values system and ethical standards of the highest degree
are easily recognizable by their deeds and are intrinsically motivated to do the right thing, even
when no one is watching. Values and ethics generally originate and grow from the same sources,
family, spiritual beliefs, and school; professional values and ethics are mere extensions of what
one learns prior to joining the work force. Therefore, the things one learns early in life follow

Professional values are basically the same as described above but in the context of a
corporation, organization, or group and what they would like their desired end-state to be. The
professional value system of group entities is revealed in their business practices; from their
interaction with other companies to how well taken care of the employees are. Whether or not a
business plays by the rules, win or lose, speaks volumes about the company and, more
importantly, the people who work there.

Ethics are usually described in relation to values, as they are the moral philosophy and
implementation of one’s values. Personal or professional ethical codes give the ability to
recognize what is right, fair, honorable and righteous. Corporations and businesses have
published codes of ethics by which they conduct business. The code of ethics sets forth the
standards to which employees are expected to abide and will be held accountable. Far too many
companies have failed not because they did not have ethical standards, but because they did not
enforce them. It is incumbent upon every employee to ensure they familiarize themselves with
their employer’s ethical code of conduct for the benefit of the employee and employer alike.
7. Work effectively in vocational education and training
The Benefits of Vocational Education Most high schools offer some form of vocational
education program. Vocational education is training for a specific career or trade, excluding the
professions. Vocational education focuses on practical applications of skills learned, and is
generally unconcerned with theory or traditional academic skills. Students at vocational
educational typically receive more hands-on, career-minded education than students at traditional
schools. Individuals are given the opportunity to explore and identify potential career goals, and
are provided with the resources needed to achieve them. Most vocational education recognizes the
importance of general academic studies as well as career preparation, and offer fully
Vocation or technical training education not only provides high school students with the ability
to develop skills at present, but can also prepare them for the workforce and increase the
opportunity to access jobs later. Vocational programs can be either at schools with basic classes in
the trade, on actual job sites or both. Work on actual job sites allows students the opportunity to
work with company employees and clients on a regular basis. The ability to work on projects on-
site can help students understand if it is the right area for them and provide a networking
opportunity to talk about the field with seasoned professionals. Such programs can help provide
basic knowledge with real working experience necessary to enter the workforce directly after high
school without a college degree. On-site programs often offer a personalized approach with
specific deadlines to meet and the support of a mentor who can answer questions and provide
guidance in the subject area. If a student shows serious interest, employers often invest in them to
replace those who are retiring in the workforce as employers look at them as trained applicants
with the ability to perform in a skilled occupation. Even employers who require a college
education may offer the opportunity for students to come back and be considered for first hire. In
addition, participation in vocation-education programs in high school can help a person decide if
this is
8. Foster and promote a learning culture
Developing a learning culture in today’s modern business environment is no longer a ‘nice to
have’, it’s essential for companies to cultivate learning if they wish to stay in business.
Employees today see learning opportunities and career development as real benefits – above and
beyond salary and novelty ‘perks’. Having a structured learning and development programmed
in place demonstrates to employees that the company values their personal development. In turn,
this increases employee loyalty and helps companies attract the best possible talent. Businesses
with a strong learning culture enjoy employee engagement and higher than those that without.
Cultural learning, is the way a group of people or animals within a society or culture tend to
learn and pass on information. Learning styles are greatly influenced by how a culture socializes
with its children and young people.
9. Ensure healthy and safe learning environment
To learn, children and adolescents need to feel safe and supported. Without these
conditions, the mind reverts to a focus on survival. Educators in high-performing, high-poverty
schools have long recognized the critical importance of providing a healthy, safe, and supportive
classroom and school environment.in other schools, this means all forms of safety and security
while at school—food if hungry, clean clothes if needed, medical attention when necessary,
counseling and other family services as required, and most of all caring adults who create an
atmosphere of sincere support for the students' well-being and academic success. When students
who live in poverty experience comprehensive support that works to mitigate the limiting,
sometimes destructive poverty-related forces in their lives, the likelihood for success is greatly
enhanced.
Comprehensive support uses the needs-based approach in striving to create and maintain
a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment for every child, leaders.
A healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment enables students, adults, and even the
school as a system to learn in powerful ways. Such an environment promotes innovation,
inquiry, and risk taking. Moreover, such an environment reinforces and enhances the leadership
capacity in the school because competent, excellent, and dedicated educators want to work under
such conditions. Is your school fostering a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment?
Use the self-assessment rubric in Figure 8.1 to focus your reading and reflect on your school's
current situation.
10. Maintain and enhance professional practice
Everyone’s capability should increase over time. However without proper nurturing and
direction, an organization’s employees (human capital) can reduce their level of contribution
Unfulfilled potential of people will impact on the organization’s performance and profits.
Also reflect on your personal efficacy by thinking about how you have developed feedback
strategies and how you react to that feedback, reviewing your personal competence in achieving
objectives and attaining personal outcomes, and your ability to analyze and evaluate operational
accountabilities.
11. Develop and promote appreciation for cost-benefits of technical training
Perhaps your organization would like to offer employee training as one of its benefits, but you’re
not sure if you can afford it. Or maybe you’re just not sure it’s worth it. After all, how can you
quantify learning?

There are several ways in which you can assess the costs and benefits of training. Each
organization is different. Some organizations place a premium on innovation and advancements,
others on value longevity and company knowledge. Both can be enhanced by a comprehensive
training program.

If you’re thinking about launching a training program in your company, here’s how to weigh the
costs versus the benefits.

List the expected results from your training program and affix a value to them. The more you can
quantify the results, the easier it is to measure the impact of training. For example, if your desire
is to make your employee training program reduce turnover by 20 percent, know what your
current turnover rate is and put in place a method by which to measure it post training. Other
things you can measure through training include effectiveness and efficiency.
Training costs include both the cost of hiring a trainer or seminar fees and the cost of workers’
time spent in training. You’ll need to add up the direct costs of training materials and fees as well
as the indirect costs of employees attending training seminars instead of working.
12. Develop and promote global understanding of labor markets
What is a global labor market? First, we should define the meaning of a labor market. A labor
market is the relationship of communication between the suppliers and the demanders so that
they are able to do business together. The global aspect of the labor market refers to the world
and all that contribute within this measure, also known as globalization.

Globalization is the process of integrating regions through societies, political systems,

economies, and culture to share ideas between the countries. What is better than that? You can
learn and use ideas and customs from other countries and this process profits all that take part in
it. Culturally, this is beneficial because we are learning from other countries and bridging the gap
between countries. All around, globalization is a positive action because we can learn from each
other and better our countries with other ideas and in turn work for the good of the whole world.

On the contrary, some believe that globalization only creates clash within a province. With jobs
being scarce in more developed countries because of the crisis, jobs being filled by immigrants
could have a negative effect on the people of a country and with most immigrants moving to a
region with a higher labor market and better chance of earning a better wage for their families, in
turn these countries are homes for most of the migrants in the world.

Potentially, it could give people the impression that immigrants are a negative thing. Some think
that too much globalizing could give corporations too much power in the long run because they
would be trusted with too much.

With the good intentions of this global labor market idea of globalization, I believe with a checks
and balance type of system we could make it work
