1. You have been employed as an advisor to the current president of Zimbabwe on


Development Policy, Strategy and Planning. Your first task is to come up with a
maximum 5 page concept note on a development policy, strategy or a new theory that
you have formulated for the facilitation of development under the new dispensation. This
concept note should highlight your idea(s) on what you think must be done for
development to take place in Zimbabwe going forward. Proceed to produce this
document with engagement of scholarly thought supporting your idea(s). (Compulsory
question)
2. How would you explain the Rwandan economic miracle?
3. As an advisor to the government of Zimbabwe, what evaluation would you give of
devolution as a possible strategy for development in Zimbabwe?
