To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great excitement that I present my resume to you for a position as an Art Teacher, with the Fort Zumwalt School
District. I graduated in May 2016, from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a Bachelors degree in Art Education and
a Minor in Art History. With my degree and hands-on teaching experiences, I am confident in my ability to become a
valuable member of your academic team.

The enclosed resume will highlight my accomplishments and demonstrate my creative, instructional and leadership
capabilities. I started my teaching profession at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Jefferson City, Missouri. I moved back
to my hometown, Troy, with my husband to be closer to our family. While waiting my opportunity to apply to a district in
the area I continued my growth as a teacher in education and have been a pre-school teacher and director at the Peanut
Gang Learning Center, Inc. in St. Peters, Missouri.

While going to school to get my degree I was a figure skating instructor, teaching children ages 3-18, in synchronized skating,
group lessons, and individual lessons. I was also the creator and residing president of the Mizzou Synchronized Skating
Club, competing all across the United States. In these experiences my love for teaching has grown indefinitely and shaped
the way I teach. These experiences have also taught me hard work, organization, and managing multiple activities effectively.

I have developed highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods for all styles of learners that can be used in
the classroom environment. This will foster a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively teaches art appreciation,
promotes creativity, and encourages growing independently.

One of my greatest strengths as an educator is meeting each student’s unique needs by developing a personal understanding
of each student. I achieve this by seeing and assessing the students as individuals, and tailoring lesson plans to accommodate
multiple intelligence. Furthermore, I offer one-on-one interaction to ensure that all students are able to grasp the learning
materials, enhance their personal skills, and have fun while learning. My goal is to increase student motivation, awareness,
and understanding of the arts, while implementing interdisciplinary-based lessons involving social studies, science, math,
language arts, and multiculturalism.

In closing, I am excited for the opportunity to meet you to discuss how my experiences and unique skill set would benefit
your academic program. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Jessica S. Northrup
