TNSOP - 5 Infection Prevention Control at Various levels
COVID – 19 At Screening and Triage Receiving area in the During transport OPD/IPD and Center institution isolation wards
- Offer triple layered mask -Use PPE
Before shifting to 108 -Cough etiquette -Hand wash with -Hand washing with soap (108 Personnel) -Use mask soap - Cough etiquette - Hand washing with soap -Transfer through -Use PPE -Social distancing - Personal protective equipment (PPE) designated pathway to -Cough etiquette -Separate from other - Inform to receiving Hospital COVID 19 OPD/IPD -Environmental patients (maintain 2 meter distance) -Environmental hygiene hygiene - Well ventilated waiting after shifting the patient -Follow TNSOP 5.1 area In ambulance - Minimize waiting time -Hand washing with soap - Environmental hygiene - Wear new gloves - Use single use consumables for medical equipment
On arrival at the COVID 19 – OPD/IPD
-Ensure proper receipt of patient -Hand wash with soap -- Ambulance to be cleaned & disinfected with 5% Lysol -Linen should be disinfected -After shifting the Patient PPE to be removed and discarded as per IPEC guidelines
