Write a coherent, well-written essay analyzing this short story “The Mask of the
Red Death” by Edgar Allan Poe.

Your analysis needs to use ONE specific literary criticism approach (see NOTE) as
you identify and discuss the 6 items that we have used in analyzing the short stories
we have dealt with this semester.

NOTE: Use ONE of the following literary criticism approaches_


1. The Psychological approach
2. The Formalist approach
3. The Reader-response approach

“The Interlopers” was written by Saki and published in 1919.

This assignment is to be submitted no later than Saturday 18th July (to be emailed
to me)
