M3 Written assignment: Ethics
The Role of Ethics in the Entrepreneurial Venture.

Prepare a report of 1-2 pages on what you consider to be the essential elements
of an ethics policy for a small business.

The establishment of an ethical policy in the organization is an element of evident

transcendence, when you want to guide the company on a good path. Generally,

these policies revolve around a document in which values, beliefs or rules of

conduct are formalized for the organization. This document is the basis for other

policies and practices.

Below I will present a series of practices that I believe should be included in this

policy, to be faithfully complied with to maintain organizational peace of mind:

-Effective use of the resources of the organization.

The assets of the organization must be used for the sole benefit of the

organization. The assets include technologies, concepts, strategies and business

plans, financial data, and other information about the company. These assets

should not be used improperly for the personal benefit of employees or others.

Employees must not transfer any of the assets to third parties.

-Practices related to corruption.

No employee should be involved, either directly or indirectly, in corruption and

bribery practices.
-Effectiveness and efficiency:

Employees must be able to achieve the objectives and goals programmed, with

the available resources and at a predetermined time, according to the policies,

rules and procedures established by the Institution.

- Business Loyalty:

Fidelity to the principles, values and objectives set by the organization.

-Conflicts of interests.

We must avoid situations in which conflicts of interest may arise between the

duties and responsibilities of the company's employees and their personal

relationships.

However, it should be noted that business ethics is reflected in the culture of the

organization. Managers have a paramount role in creating, maintaining and

changing an ethical culture. One of the most important aspects for business

ethics policies to be effective will be, then, the commitment and exemplary ethics

of managers and good leadership
