Applications are invited through online mode from 12-01-2016, 08:01 a.m. for Direct
Recruitment to the vacancies of Junior Training Officer posts in Government Industrial Training
Institutes of Tamil Nadu in the Training Wing of the Directorate of Employment and Training,
Government of Tamil Nadu for the year 2014 – 15.

1. Qualification:
1. SSLC pass with Diploma in relevant field of Engineering / Technology
2. SSLC pass with NTC in the relevant trade of ITI Course with a minimum 3 years of industrial
experience / NAC in the relevant trade with a minimum 2 years of industrial experience.
Weightage will be given to CITS Certificate holders in the relevant trade and for experience.

For Differently Abled, Ex-serviceman, Destitute Widows, the age Limit as per the exiting
Government order will be followed.
The maximum age limit prescribed in this notification shall not apply to the candidates
belonging to any of the Scheduled castes, Scheduled Caste Arunthathiars, Scheduled Tribes,
Backward Classes, Backward Class (Muslim), Most Backward class and Denotified Communities or of
Destitute widows of all castes, who have higher qualification (eg. HSC, Diploma, etc.) in addition to
the minumum general educational qualification prescribed.
4. How to apply:

Eligible candidates should apply On-Line only. Candidates who have registered with
Employment Exchange should also apply through on-line. For on-line registration, candidates can
visit the Website: www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in. Candidates are instructed to go through the
guidelines before filling the application on-line.
 After the on line registration, it is mandatory for all candidates to submit the print out of the
on line application downloaded from the site, along with the Bank Demand Draft (Rs. 150 or Rs. 50
whichever is applicable) and self-attested Photocopies of the following certificates to any one of the
Nodal Government Industrial Training Institutes located in each District and get the
acknowledgement Slip. Failing to do so, the candidates will not be considered for further selection
process (List of Nodal Government Industrial Training Institutes is given in the website).
Certificates copies to be produced along with the application.

The copy of the application and acknowledgement slip shall be preserved for any future
reference. For details / guidelines with regard to qualification, Age, Priority Categories, Nodal
Government Industrial Training Institutes etc., are given in the website. The candidates are advised
to read carefully, important instructions / guidelines given in the website before applying on line.
However, in case of a candidate applying without being eligible, his / her application will be
summarily rejected and his / her fee will be forfeited. No communication will be entertained in this
matter.
5. Examination fee:
Examination fee of Rs. 100/- and application processing fee of Rs. 50 (Total 150/-) shall be
paid in the form of Demand Draft obtained in any one of the Nationalised Bank in favour of
Assistant Accounts Officer, Directorate of Employment and Training, Payable at Chennai.
SC / ST / SCA candidates and PH / Destitute Widow Candidate of all communities are
exempted from payment of Examination Fees. However, they should pay application processing fee of
Rs. 50/- as Demand Draft.
6. Selection Process:

1. Preliminary Selection :
A screening Test (Exam) at 10th Std level will be conducted to short list the
candidates. Eligible candidates only will be allowed to take up Screening Test. The date
and venue of the Screening Test will be intimated in the Hall Ticket. The candidate can
download the Hall Ticket from the Website by entering the application number given in
the acknowledgement Slip and his / her date of birth.
2. Main Selection :
The candidates short listed based on the Screening Test Marks in the ratio
of 1 : 5 depending on the No. of Vacancies in each category will be allowed for main
selection process. If more than one candidate secures the lowest same cut off mark for
a particular communal turn all such candidates will be called for main selection.
The final Selection will be in two stages.
a) Practical cum Teaching ability Test
b) Oral Interview.
Suitable weightage for practical experience, employment Exchange waiting
period will be added in the final selection. For the Practical cum teaching ability Test,
the skill ability of the candidates in the subject of their study will be tested.

7. Syllabus for the Screening Test:

Objective type test with 150 questions at the 10th Standard level containing 120 questions
from Science, Mathematics including mental ability and 30 questions from General Knowledge and
current affairs.
