1. Introduction
1.1 CSGW Tool is a companion software used for generating configuration file of CSGW. CSGW
device is not required for running the software.
1.2 The software can be found at http://www.cs-controls.com/en/download.aspx?id=65, named CSGW
Tool. After downloading the software, extract it to a folder, e.g. C:\CSGWTool. Go to that folder,
run CSGW Tool v3.0.0.exe to launch the software.
1.3 The configuration file should be saved with .db as the extension name, which is required by
CSGW.
1.4 This Manual is supplementary to the CSGW User Manual. It does not cover topics related to
CSGW. For more information about CSGW, please refer to the CSGW User Manual. For example:
How to upload Configuration file to CSGW.
How to specify parameters for BACnet settings.
How to create a mapping.
2. Operation Guide
CSGW can convert Modbus RTU or proprietary protocols to BACnet. CSGW Tool is usually used for
the purpose of Modbus RTU to BACnet.
To generate a configuration file using CSGW Tool, you can either
Import from a CSV format points list file, or
Manually add mappings via the GUI
It is recommended to use the former way, i.e., importing from points list file.
