List the advantages of JIRA

Jira is highly configurable and flexible to allow for usage across a wide
range of environments and its processes. The Jira workflows, issue types
can easily be changed from the administration GUI.

The following are the advantages of Jira software

1. We can create issues in Jira from Confluence, display Jira


reports/dashboards in Confluence, and navigate easily between linked Jira
issues and Confluence pages for traceability, Create Knowledge Base
articles in Confluence from Jira Service Desk, find contextual Knowledge
Base articles in Jira Service tickets.

2. We can Create Bitbucket branches from within Jira, see all related
commits, branches and pull requests in an issue, transition issues
automatically based on development events, transition issues from within
Bitbucket Server, see issues related to Bitbucket Server commits and pull
requests, check commits, branches and pull requests for an entire version
within Jira Software.

preview issues, and service desk requests directly in Hip chat when

Functionalities of JIRA

1. We can create dashboards in order to customize it and this workflow will


be with the creation of projects and workflows

depicts the functionality of backlog

All the issues of the first sprint are available in the to-do list part then
developers can drag one by one issue to the in-progress section and
once they finish it would show up in the done section.

Project Lead can comment and can attach some sort of description to the
issue. All three sections have their tag which clearly is visible when you
open the issue.

team. You can also see the team Lead.

 The major benefit of using Jira in project management is it speeds up
the development process and the communication process. The
product owner can interact the project team quickly, he doesn’t have
to wait till the weekly meetings and can review the work of the project
team what work is already done and what they are working on and he
can also give feedback right away after checking the completed tasks
and issues.

 The other benefit is the interaction and development process are


optimized among the development team. All the members in the team
can check anytime what other developers are working on. Team
members can discuss and interact faster with the team lead or the
scrum master. Even they can interact with product owner if
necessary.

 The biggest benefit is your work is stored in a specific system. You


can access a project in a matter of seconds and start understanding
what the team was working on, how many people were working and
how much time they took and when did they finish. Even if you want
details of a specific person, you can look up what he worked on. So
Jira in that way organizes the work and makes it easy for both client
and the development team.
