Flexible Classroom As A New Normal Learning Environment

Flexible learning options provide alternative ways for students to learn outside the traditional classroom setting. These options include e-learning, blended learning, distance learning, and mobile learning, among others. With schools closed due to COVID-19, flexible learning options are being used for all students in the Philippines to ensure continued education. Teachers will need to implement these new flexible learning environments as the "new normal" for education.

Flexible Learning options come in many forms.

E-learning – it is a mode of learning through the use of electronic means that can be accessed outside the physical classrooms

Blended Learning – It is the combination of both online and face-to-face learning environments.

Computer-assisted learning – It is the support and augmentation of learning through computers.

Computer-managed Instruction – It is leveraging technology to help teachers manage instruction without them having to actually do the

teaching.

Distance Learning – This is an approach where learning groups are separated and students, teachers, and learning materials are

connected through the use of telecom systems.

Independent Learning – It is an autonomous approach of learning in which an individual is given the leeway to pursue their own studies

based on their free will and interest.
