“EGO SUM PHILIPPINICA”

(“I AM A FILIPINO”)

I am a Filipino, born with a strong mind, heart, and soul,

Proud to use the Country language that is sole.

For in the land where I dwell and stand,

I am willing to help others and be united hand in hand.

I am a Filipino and will always be,

Which will spread the love and tranquility for it is free.

In a conflagration of the soldiers I pray,

That triumph will always be in their way.

I am a Filipino and I will serve my own country,

For I have a strong will with great dignity.

Philippines, the name of my country that is not just a place,

But a shelter and a haven of the human race.

Oh, I am a Filipino! Pure, Fine, and Absolute one,

A person with humility and altruistic that hurts none.

To my ever beloved and adored country, I bow down,

For I am a Filipino and Philippines is the land of my own.
