Friction Along Pipes

Experiment 1 measured fluid friction in smooth pipes. It found head loss increased with flow rate and pipe diameter according to equations. Experiment 2 measured friction in a roughened pipe, finding coefficient of friction decreased with Reynolds number. Experiment 3 measured head losses through fittings like bends, elbows and valves, finding losses varied by fitting type and increased with flow rate.
