Individual Role Requirement
Individual Role Requirement
ROLE DEDICATION
To help strengthen sales and technical skills and reduce risk related to turnover of trained employees, we are introducing role
dedication. The individual certification requirements will now be determined by specialization roles. The CCIE®
requirements for Silver and Gold Certification remain the same.
Each base specialization (refer to Table 2) role must be satisfied by a unique individual. Individuals satisfying roles in
Foundation Express can also be utilized to fill one role in one other base specialization. The specialization role dedication
may require that more of a partner’s staff take the training, which would broaden the expertise across their organization and
help improve customer satisfaction. Overall, the minimum number of individuals required for Silver and Gold Certification
has been reduced and is unchanged for Premier Certification.
The Base Specialization Role Requirements table highlights the dedicated job roles and the total unique individuals required
for each specialization. We have listed four examples that are based on the minimum requirements to achieve certification
status to provide a guide to how the specialization roles could be satisfied (or allocated). There are multiple combinations of
specializations that can be used to satisfy Silver Certification and we have highlighted just two.
Please keep in mind that number of certified individuals needed will differ based on the partner’s selected specializations and
allocation of personnel.

Gold Certification Role Requirements – Minimum Example
There are six new base specializations which count towards certification. These specializations included updated product
content, lifecycle services training and enhanced sales training. Four optional specializations are available, but will not count
towards certification.
