Business Name: ADAPTIVE SHADES

We aim to provide convenient car shade solution to the car owners that will roll up and down
as you move the car’s mirrors without the hassle of putting them on and off again and again.

Our major strength is that we are going to sell a shade that will roll up and down without the
trouble of putting it back and forth and issue of bending that reduces its life. Apart from that, it
will also help in reducing the UV radiations coming from the sun to directly affect the
passengers. This USP would be our core competency as well.Moreover, we would be the
pioneer of this production in Pakistan giving us a edge over others.

Our idea is to produce adaptive car shades that would be a solution of putting the shades on
car windows again and again which gradually causes the bending of it as well.. our shades
will role up and down with rolling of windows. There would be a rod attached on the lower of
window and there would be hook that would be attached to the upper of the window.

All of the founder have some core competencies and each of the member would be given a different task to
perform and collectively they would be working for a single objective, Haider Salman having experience in content
writing would deal with all the contents requiredf or the company not only this he would manage raw material.
Zain being an expert of developing websites and of social media would be working for online promotion of our
product. Samaq would be dealing with all financial activites and Hashir and rohail being Marketer would deals
with all tactical and strategical planning of the product not only this but they will be responsible for collaborating
with the car event organizers so that we can tell the audience about our product existence. Labor would be hired

 Where is the gap in the market? What has given rise to this gap? How was this gap
identified? How will the gap be filled?

Shades have already been in market but their is a hassle of putting shades on and off windows
again and again that gradually cause the bending of it. You have to take them off when you
wanna talk to someone or wanna pay your petrol bill. There are number of problems with the
typical shades coming up this idea resolves all of these problems which was not been considered
before us in Pakistan. Being a daily user of car in this hot weather of Lahore I have faced all this
problems. Shades have been my necessity same as any other necessity (seats belts, brakes). The
global warming has been the cause of rise in temperature and it would keep rising until or unless
we plant trees. This rising of the temperature had made shades necessary. With our shades all
problems of sun rays (ultra violent rays) with many other problem discussed above would be
sorted out.

What are your reasons for wanting to start your own small business?

Since most people in Pakistan are having automobiles and this trend is rising, we take this project as
a service benefit not only as a product (i.e. shades itself) as it will benefit millions of car owners who
would love to incorporate such type of innovative and novel shade solution. According to a report
published in Dawn Newspaper, there are 300,000 cars registered in Lahore. And a report from
Pakistan today suggests that the younger drivers are 4 time more than the older drivers which means
Out of these 300,000 cars, more than 180,000 cars are in the hands of youth/young drivers. Such
active, sporty people and daily user of car (universities students ) find it hectic to attach and detach
sunshades again and again and would be in an owe to find a solution to this issue. We find this gap
as an opportunity and so worked on it to be a viable solution. Since such millennial try innovative and
fancy products, our product would be targeting to those. It does not mean that others cannot use it.
People who want it can try it. And with that we can grab a major chunk of our target
market.Moreover, our market is big enough that can generate repetitive sales and generate profits.
If we only target 1/3 youngsters which drivers more than 180,000 cars than still we have 60000 to
80000 potential customers in Lahore market.
In addition to this, since temperature is rising, these adaptive sunshades would lower the internal
temperature of the car when they will be properly set on the window screens. With that, they will
reduce the UV radiations coming from the sun as well and will act as a shield.

What are your objectives for your business over the next twelve months?

We want to have at least a major portion of target market to be benefited by our sunshade solution.
If at least 1/3rd of the youth will give it a try, we can almost cover 60K-80K of the youth of Lahore only
out of 180,000 above registered car users in the area which is a good estimate to start with initially.
With this much potential customers we can have repetitive sales which are our objective and will
generate profit which is our main objective.

What are your objectives for your business over the following two years?

Well, our objective for the business for the two years is to at least recognize our all cost and identify
points where these cost can be cut down with the smooth functioning of the business. We would also
be keen to at least recover our half cost of the main investment of the business all cost used in the
buying of assets. Within these two years we would be looking for to cover the main markets of cars
such as cars market in model town , modgumni . Moreover, we would look forward to build a
positive image in the mind of the customer for our business by social media pages which surely
would help us grow in no time because trust is the most important for the customers loyalty.

We will be providing car’s adaptive sunshades that will be convenient compared to the traditional
sunshades that bend over their usage. The sunshades are our tangible product but the shady comfort
we will be providing to car users is the intangible service..

The main thing is to identify the gap in the market we will keep working on searching the gap in the
market and the requirement of the product related to the cars. We will be working on providing the
washable stickers for the cars. Stickers that would be removed with specific material mixed with
water. Helping people to decorate the car and they would change it easily when they would want to
giving no rough look on car.

Who will operate the business?

We all team member have some core competencies and we will divide our work according and the
manufacturing would be done by labor. Other processes have been discussed above

Who else will be employed by the business immediately? Who else will be employed by the business in the
future?

The labor would be hired immediately after the start of the business and later as our business would progress we
would need more employees for the computer work and labor for machinery work when we will move towards
proper machinery. If we will launch a new product than we will require another brand manager that alone would
have to deal with the marketing of that product other task would be performed by the same persons.

strategies..

We will get loan from HBL small business finance or Prime minister loan scheme if investors of venture capital
would not show interest in our product.

Explain how you calculated the cost of producing your product/service

Well, the raw material includes plastic hooks, adhesive stickers, Black net , rolling mechanism tube kind structure.
We can order the rolling mechanism of shades from ali express (similar to the phenomena of inch e tape) they
are available there. Costing about 30 to 50 rs per piece. The net is easily available in the market near railway
station.. costing about 15 rs square feet adhesive sticker are 2 rs per sticker ans hook are 5 rs. Small office in
commercial area would cost round about 25 lac. Second hand laptop in hafeez center cost about 15 to 20
thousand. Ptcl gives a package of 3000 with internet and calls about 3000 resulting in 35000 per year, registering
the name of the company from official website says that it would cost 1000 rs Insurance has been converted
from dollar to pkr from the official resources.Monthly expense for stationary would be 1000 to 1500 and resulting
in 12 to 15000 per year. Advertising would be basically from the social media I.e online marketing and other than
that pamphlets, brochairs and standy would be designed and the logo stickers for the shades would cost about
less than 50 thousand some other marketing effort would result in round about 1 lac per year initially. Labor with
14000 per month and 2 labors would cost 336000 per year.

Expected turnover in the 1st year – How did you calculate this?

There are 3 lacs car registered in Lahore this facts comes from dawn news article an other article from Pakistan
today suggests that about young drivers are 4 times more than the old driver. This makes that about 2 to 2.2 lac
cars are driven by young drivers which are our target market. Even we target the 1/3 of this we get 60 to 80
thousand of the potential customers initially. So if we sell our product to 800 to 1200 to almost even 1500
customer in an year we can generate revenue of 150000 1500000. but we can get more customers as our market
is bigger than we think.

convenient shades they have to put it on and off but with our shades we can solve there problem and help
